During the "Lead the Way," Indians Rock Community Foundation Lacrosse Day of Champions at Manhasset High School on Saturday April 19th, the Duke Blue Devils faced the Army Black Knights in the Marquee matchup lacrosse game. Duke won the game by a score of 10-6. This day of lacrosse was held in honor of Manhasset native James J. Regan. Regan was an Army Ranger who grew up in Manhasset, went to Chaminade HS where he was a scholar athlete and All American lacrosse player. He attended Duke University where he studied economics and was an All-ACC student athlete. After the terror attacks of September 11th Regan chose to serve his country and joined the US Army. He was chosen for training in the elite Army Rangers and served two tours in Afghanistan. He was serving on his second tour of Irag when he was killed.
