Boys Varsity Lacrosse - Garden City vs South Side
Story:
Boys varsity lacrosse game action between the Garden City Trojans and the South Side Cyclones at Skelos fields in Rockville Centre on Saturday afternoon, May 3rd. The score was tied 4-4 at the end of the first half. South Side took a 7-4 lead by the end of the third quarter. Garden City trailed 9-6 in the fourth quarter but scored three goals in a row to tie the score at nine. Francis McDonough scored the tying goal with just 1:18 left in the game. As time was winding down, and with one second left, South Side's Colin Serling scored behind his back to give the Cyclones their first ever victory over Garden City. Leading the scoring for South Side was Pat Tighe with five goals. Colin Serling scored twice and had two assists, followed by Nick O'Reilly (three assists), Pat McTague and Gavin Ahern with one goal each. Goalie Ryan Alexander made 11 saves. Garden City's Dan Savage, Will Fuller and Francis McDonough scored two goals each for the Trojans. Matt Losardo, Kevin Rose and Jon Muscarella scored one goal each.
