Boys Varsity Lacrosse- Garden City vs Mepham
Story:
In a torrential rain on May 20th, Garden City traveled to Merrick to take on the Mepham Pirates for the last regular game of the season. Even a field in the best of shape could not keep up with the rain. Although it seemed to be turning into a swamp with each passing minute the Trojans were still able to put together a 10-0 shutout. Jon Muscarella scored a game-high three goals with one assist and Brian McCullough made 10 saves in goal. Brendan Carroll, recently back from an injury that kept him out for most of the season, scored two goals. Adding to the scoring were: Ryan Lynch (1), Dan Losardo (1), Will Fuller (1), Mark Fischer (1), and John Betts (1). Chris Connors and Brendan Engelke also were in goal for the Trojans, making three saves each.
