Girls Varsity Lacrosse - Section 8, Class B - Nassau County Championship - Garden City vs Wantagh
Story:
The Garden City girls varsity lacrosse team beat Wantagh 23 to 8 to take the Nassau County section 8 Class B championship at Hofstra University Tuesday afternoon. Garden City goals were scored by Caroline McTiernan (6), Erin Brennan (5), Becky Lynch (4), Shannon Mangini (3), Brittany Wilton (2), Lauren Terracciano (1) and Dayna DeFliese (1). The Wantagh golas were scored by Claire Petersen (3), Melanie Smith (2), Jackie Sileo (1) and Natalie Melaniff (1).
