Garden City beats Manhasset to win the Section 8, Class B, Nassau County, Girls Varsity Field Hockey Final at Adelphi University, Sunday afternoon.
Story:
The Nassau County Class B field hockey final matched up the Trojans from Garden City and the Manhasset Indians on Sunday afternoon, November 2 at Adelphi University. Garden City entered the match as the only undefeated team in the conference. After goals by Eleni Andromidas, Mariah Pewarski and Caroline Tenaglia the Trojans were still undefeated as they came away with the 3-0 victory. GC will face the Shoreham Wading River Wild Cats in the Long Island Championship game on Wednesday, November 5th at Adelphi. Caroline McTiernan, Amanda Keller, and Katie Harrington, each had an assist for the Trojans. Garden City goalkeeper Elizabeth Gurskis made one save.
