Nassau Class A varsity baseball semifinal at Garden City HS. In the top of the fourth inning Island Trees' Chris Nickel hit a grand slam to make the score 9-2. Island Trees went on to score four more runs and win the game 13-2, advancing to the Nassau Class A Finals against Clarke. Island Trees pitcher Dan Bartlett was on the mound for the entire game allowing 2 runs and eight hits.
