With a 15-8 win over Wantagh on Tuesday, Garden City's girls lacrosse team won their 5th straight Nassau Class B title. The Trojans will face either Sayville or Rocky Point for the LI Championship title on Saturday evening June 6th at 8pm at Hofstra. Shannon Mangini and Emily Norell each had four goals and an assist for GC. Also scoring for the Trojans were: Caroline Tarzian (3 goals, 1 assist), Mikaela Rix (3 goals), and Catherine Dickinson (1 goal, 1 assist). Lauren Terracciano added two assists followed by Caroline McTiernan with one. Kelly Weis made nine saves in goal for the Trojans. Scoring for Wantagh were: Paula Schmidt , 4 goals, 1 assist; Jackie Sileo, 3; and Nina Reilly, 1. Logging assists for Wantagh were : Natalie Melaniff, 2; Chelsea Guerrera, 1; Colleen Lovett, 1; April Iannetta, 1.
