West Islip's Nicky Galasso had five goals and two assists for the Lions in the Class A Long Island Boys Lacrosse Championship game against the Hicksville Comets on Tuesday evening June 9th at Stony Brook's LaValle Stadium.. West Islip went on to win 14-7 and will play Yorktown in the state semi final game on Thursday June 11th. Total scoring for the Lions includes: Nick Galasso, 5 goals, 2 assists; Shane Craig, 2 goals; Ian Braddish, 2 goals, 1 assist; Andrew Hodgson, 1 goal; Mike Sagl, 1 goal; Kevin Dolan, 1 goal; Conor Braddish, 1 goal; and Rob Moore, 1 goal. Also adding assists for West Islip: Bryan Badolato, 3; Nick Galasso, 2; Drew Federico, 1; and Michael McCormack, 1;. Goalkeeper Ryan Zaremba made 9 saves for WI. Hicksville's Brandon Gamblin scored five goals for the Comets. Also scoring for Hicksville: Sal Geneva (1 goal, 2 assists) oand Doug Showenstein (1 goal).
