Garden City, New York - November 3. 2009 - In a big upset Tuesday evening, #4 ranked Garden City fell to #12 ranked New Hyde Park 3-0. Amy Maxwell had 20 assists and three digs to lead New Hyde Park (14-2) in a, 25-23, 25-22, 26-24, upset over Garden City in the second round of the Class A playoffs at garden City High SChool.
The roster for Garden City included Maddy Smith, Kim Verderber, Danielle Muscarella, Noelle Byrne, Gretchen Guterding, Courtney Cento, Kristen Steinhardt, Casey O'Hanlon (Captain), Mary Odell, Jackie Seskin, Eleni Demiris, Michelle Finneran, Megan Bader, Emily LaCorte, Joanna Matuza (Captain), Katie Haynes. Head coach Phil Opinante and Assistant Coach Mike Weiner.
