The Garden City Trojans Varsity lacrosse Team beat the Division Blue Dragons 10-6 Friday afternoon

The previously undefeated Division Blue Dragons boys lacrosse team played host to the Garden City Trojans on Friday afternoon May 14th. If Division could have stayed undefeated the Blue Dragons would have taken the top seed in the upcoming playoffs but the Trojans, who, with Wantagh, were fighting for that same top seed, quickly dashed the Blue Dragon's hopes by scoring first and never giving up the lead on the way to a 10-6 victory. GC's Devin Dwyer led all scoring with four goals and four assists. Also scoring for the Trojans were: Kyle Hughes with two goals; Tom Gordon, with two goals and one assist; Matt Montgomery with one goal; Rob Savage with one goal; Patric Berkery and Stephen Jahelka each had an assist. Goalkeeper Alex Castronovo made eight saves in the win. Scoring for Division: Tom Nuckel, 3 goals/1 assist; Corey Triola, 1 goal; Tom Duggan, 1 goal; Dylan Muller, 1 goal; Pellegrino, 1 assist. Goalie Tom McDevitt made seven saves.
