Nassau Class B quarterfinal boys lacrosse game between the No. 2 seeded Garden City Trojans and the No. 7 seeded Long Beach Marines at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium on Tuesday evening May 25th. After jumping out to an early 3-0 lead on goals by Matt Montgomery, Rob Savage and Kyle Hughes, the Marines' Zach Verch and Mike Nakashian scored goals of their own to narrow the deficit to just one goal. Everything started to click for GC, especially in the second half, as the Trojans held a commanding 10-3 lead at the end of the third quarter. Garden City went on to win 12-4 and advances to the Nassau semifinal against Division.
